‘Feb. 11 rallies will stop N-talks from turning into business talks’

TEHRAN, Feb. 10 (MNA) – Iran’s Parliament speaker has said the nation’s will in Feb. 11 rallies would prove their demands to the West and discourage them from their business-like attitudes in the course of nuclear talks.

Ali Larijani has made the remarks on the sidelines of the international congress for consultation among the foreign guests that kicked off today, a day before February 11, a national holiday in Iran which is celebrated each year with nationwide mass rallies in commemoration of the Islamic Revolution victory in 1979.

Larijani asserted that the nation would demonstrate their resolute will by participating in the rallies and in this way stand up against the terrorist groups formed by the world powers.

“Their participation will also prove to the Western side in the nuclear negotiations that the nation is resolute in its will and demands so that the other side would not mistake the course of the negotiations with a business firm,” he said.

He stressed that the nuclear negotiations must be a place for deep discussions not for deceiving the other side by exerting pressure and false promises; “of course Iranian negotiators are meticulous enough to distinguish between negotiations and deception.”

Every year, many foreign guests from countries across the world, including politicians and reporters gather in Iran on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
